Alice Malseed is a theatre-maker, writer and producer.
Alice’s writing and theatre-making comment on the ‘now’ in our society with humour and lyricism, politics and provocation.
Alice writes plays and prose, including short stories. She is working on her debut novel.
She has taken her award-winning theatre productions to Dublin and Edinburgh Fringes, and to theatres across across UK and Ireland.
Alice works as a Freelance Producer and has worked with companies of 3 to 50 people, and budgets big and small. She has produced shows that have been presented in Dublin Theatre Festival, London Southbank Centre, Dublin Fringe and Lyric Theatre.
In 2025 she was part of Six in the Attic with Irish Theatre Institute, and the Mavens Programme. Previously she was part of the ISPD Explore Design Mentorship and the PEN Freedom to Write Programme with the John Hewitt Society. She joined the Lyric New Playwright’s Programme and the BBC Writersroom in 2018.
She has worked in London, across the UK, in India, Sri Lanka, Indonesia and across Ireland.
Alice studied at Goldsmiths, gaining BA Drama and Theatre Arts, and MA Applied Drama (postgraduate scholarship).
Alice is based in Belfast in the North of Ireland.
